THE SECRET WEAPON: SPINACH
SUPER POWERS: It’s time to take Popeye’s advice on eating spinach seriously as recent research suggests that this nutrient rich leafy green may actually help to increase muscle strength! Plus spinach is loaded with other nutrients including iron, vitamin K, A, C and leutein.
WHAT YOU NEED FOR YOUR SPINACH SMOOTHIE:
- ½ cup almond milk
- ½ cup natural yoghurt
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (we used Vitalstrength Ripped)
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 4 strawberries
- 1 banana
- 1 handful spinach
In a blender, combine all ingredients. Blend until smooth.
